We ask for what it takes to get coffee to your door and nothing more. There are no accounts and no mailing list, and we don’t sell or rent anyone’s details.
When you order
Checkout asks for your email, your name, a shipping address and, if you choose, a phone number for the carrier. They go to the companies that do each part of the job:
- Stripe takes the payment and works out sales tax for your address. Card numbers are entered in Stripe’s own field and go to Stripe directly; this site never sees or keeps them.
- Shippo buys the USPS label, so it and USPS receive your name, shipping address and phone number if given.
- Resend sends your receipt, and the order to the people who pack it. The packing note carries the shipping address and what to pack, not your email or what you paid.
The order, with what you bought and where it went, is kept in our Stripe account for our accounts and any refund. If you leave checkout before paying, what you typed stays on that unpaid order in Stripe; we don’t email you about it or use it for anything else.
Kept in your browser
- Your cart, as a count of bags of each roast and nothing else, so it survives a reload. It stays until you empty it or clear this site’s data.
- Where you came from. If you arrive from an ad or a link with campaign tags in its address, those tags are kept for up to 90 days and sent with your order, so we can tell which campaign led to it. Nothing else about your browsing is kept.
- Your order page. After you pay, one cookie lets this browser, and only this browser, show that order’s page. It lasts a day.
Measurement
Google Analytics 4 counts visits, pages viewed, the device and browser, the rough location from the network, and the steps of an order (bags added to the cart, checkout started, an order placed, with its value), never your name, email or address. Google sets cookies to recognize a returning browser, and keeps the per-visit records for up to fourteen months, and only report totals after that.
When an order is paid, our server also reports the sale to Google Analytics, with the same browser ID the page used, the order number, what was bought and its value, so an order is still counted when a browser blocks the page’s tag. A refund is reported the same way. Neither carries your name, email or address.
Do Not Track
This site doesn’t change what it does when a browser sends a Do Not Track signal; Google Analytics does not act on it either. We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising.
How to switch measurement off: your privacy choices.
